travels in amira

Aloof Goddesses, rock prophets, pink potions, orange dinner jackets, and vapors of aquamarine, are but a hint of the vibrancy of Amira: a strange and marvelous mythic City. Seedy travel brochures may disappoint, Amira does not. It exists in the shared imaginings of us as onlookers, in our deepest impressions of place. It speaks to our desire for escape and adventure. We are transported into a world of ambiguous meanings, jubilant colours, and uneasy marvels. Amira vibrates with the stuff of which startling daydreams are made.

As eager tourists, we can succumb to every detail, every play of light, wandering into odd corners and hallways of Amira, where we are reminded of how we thought we knew other places.
